Les Printemps du Musée d’Art Contemporain (Spring at the Contemporary Art Museum of Montréal) is an annual fundraising event of the Musée d’Art Contemporain in Montréal (MAC). Organised by the MAC foundation, the event supports the mission of the museum all while centring the next generation of artists. Festive and creative, every year it celebrates the innovation of contemporary art and brings the community together around a theme of artistic inspiration. 

For the 17th edition of the Printemps du MAC, the theme of the ‘Dawn of the Digital’ was at the heart of the event. It marked the emergence of novel ideas and bold discoveries, which pushed back the borders of classical art. The title personifies this vibrant spirit, echoing the energy of the event.

‘Dawn of the Digital’ is a bold celebration of modern art, a movement in which tradition meets avant-garde, and where the classic aesthetic reinvents itself through our digital modernity. We wanted to revisit the classical sculpture, injecting a contemporary aesthetic, high fashion statues which marry the timeless elegance of sculptural art with the innovation of modern design. These works embody a dual awakening: that of raw, eternal matter and that of a digital imagination in perpetual motion.
